Last weekend we had a quick trip to the north of Argentina- just for the weekend. We travelled about 900km to the city of Resistencia for an ABUA camp. Travelling up on the Friday was a long day- but one family had travelled 2200km!
I gave three talks to the students from the book of Proverbs. It seemed to go ok- but it is always hard to know how well I am connecting with the students.
One of the cultural differences in the north east is that they greet with two kisses. We got used to it up there- and we continued doing it the first few days after we arrived back in Córdoba (here we only greet with one kiss).
We are grateful to God for our time up there, having a glimpse of where our missionary mentors, Peter and Terry Blowes spent so much time.
We are also very thankful for safe travel on the roads. Argentina has a very high road toll- although it has only double the population of Australia, it has on average around 5 times more fatalities per year. Pray for us in this regard!
