When it comes to DVD's, 'truchos' are everywhere in Argentina- that is illegally copied videos. Our two local video stores actually hired out copies- not originals. They have however closed down- probably because it is just as cheap to buy a trucho as it is to hire one.
We heard yesterday from a friend about her experience on a long bus trip. They generally show movies on the buses. This time they showed three movies- but each one, because it was a dodgy copy, stopped in the middle. So they saw 3 half movies!
I know of a dodgy dvd that has a bunch of blokes dressed up trying to sing & dance like the village people. It's so dodgy though I don't think it would get a run even in Argentina.
