Busy social lives

One HUGE difference we are noticing at the new school is that the kids are being invited to a lot more birthday parties. The school is made up of mid-upper class families for whom inviting the entire class to their child´s party is normal and even expected. They are classically held in party salons with all food and entertainment contracted out.

Within the first week of school we have had three party invites and three play dates between our two primary aged kids. It will make life even more busy!

Tonight we were organising our weekend ... kids invited in all directions plus a busy weekend as well. We asked Jacob if he knew the 2 boys who were celebrating ... ¨oh yes, he´s the one who hit me today,¨ said our youngest son goodnaturedly. And the other invitation lacked a start and ending time. So we might not be getting to the first parties of the year, but no doubt there´ll be plenty more to come.
