In God's timing

I had a reminder today of one of the differences between Argentina and Australia.

I was in the car listening to the radio, and the host was talking to one of the callers. The caller mentioned that things were going well for her this year. Although she had lost a baby prematurely last year, this year things were going well and she and her husband were hopeful of being able to fall pregnant again. This in itself is probably different to what you might here on the radio in Australia.

But they then had a discussion about everything being 'en los tiempos de Dios' -in God's timing- and that we don't always know what the timing of God is, although it is often different to ours.

This is all on a commercial radio station, wedged in between the secular songs. It grabbed my attention, because I couldn't imagine it happening on a commercial station in Oz, where they do their utmost to avoid mentioning the G-word (unless of course they are talking about the whether and whether 'the gods' are going to be kind to us by giving us fine weather!)
