Farewells

We farewelled at the airport our good  friends the Frohlings last night. Chris and Krista, with their three boys, who come from California,  have been in Cordoba for two years working especially with microfinancing projects. We met them in November 2010, just before we returned to Australia for six months. But when we returned we were able to maintain the friendship because they had started attending our church.

In such a short time they had done an amazing job at making great friends and immersing themselves in the community- and we are sad to see them go. My farewell gift was helping them sort out their luggage so that they didn't have to pay as much excess baggage! We are praying they will re settle into life in the States after 2 years of challenges in Argentina.

Their 12 year old son was looking around nervously when we arrived at the airport. We soon saw why. One of the girls from his class arrived with a friend to say goodbye- she even brought with her a photo in a frame- of just the two of them. Will the young love last the distance?   Posted by Martin
