A bit of stress in the family this afternoon when we saw on the web page for Sydney Airport that Auntie Iss-Iss' flight had been cancelled. We called her (to her mobile using skype!) and she was able to call the airport to find out that yes the flight had been cancelled, but she was able to catch a different flight to NZ, and connect with the flight to Santiago from there. Phew!
So hopefully she is on her way now to NZ and will be in Santiago tomorrow- then has a flight to Córdoba the next day... how much excess will she be charged for all the presents she is carrying? Our kids are waiting very anxiously- not sure if it is for her or for her cargo!
