Proud Parents

The end of year activities are coming to a close (phew!), and each of the kids has made us proud in their special way!

Firstly, Ellie played several exciting volleyball matches, showing huge improvement in her skills and teamwork.  The team finished the year in an admirable 5th position in the Cordoba competition.

Then Charlotte entertained us in her school skating exhibition. She skated five times in one night, made 4 costume changes, and enjoyed herself greatly. We are pleased that she has found an activity that combines sport and also accomodates her creative-dramatic flair!

This week Jacob´s class held a puppet show in their classroom. Groups of 4 children wrote their own story, then acted it out with home-made sock puppets and props.  Very entertaining, especially Jacob´s friendly ogre.

And finally today Lachlan surprised us at his annual school awards ceremony. In addition to the English prize, he also won 2 extra prizes for his Spanish ... one for  finishing with the second highest average in all his spanish subjects for year 9, and the other for a short story he entered in a literature competition.  We are greatly encouraged that the kids have adapted so well at school this year, both socially and academically.

Our very own nerd boy!
