Unlike the photo-shy Aussie students we know from Cumbo campus, Argentine students see a camera and flock to pose for the photographer.
The preaching is great, like in Oz. But the students and even the preacher drink 'mate' (argentine tea) as the talk is delivered.
You bring your own toilet paper on camp, and try to resist the urge to go as much as is humanly possible.
The camps have a nocturnal feel. The games night started at 11.30pm, two hours after I'd sent an exhausted E, C and J to bed. But I felt a bit embarrassed watching the two Argentine toddlers having fun at 12.30pm .... what sort of spoilsport mother am I??
And of course the football games are VERY seriously contested.
