Only in Argentina?
One of my students shared a prayer point the other day - his church has to hand back the land the building is built on. Now I'm not sure of the details, but it seems that when they purchased the land 9 years ago, something wasn't done properly, and there were taxes that they didn't pay at the time. They have now been issued with a fine plus the interest which amounts to AR$30,000. This is a church in a poor suburb and they can't pay it. They have been to various lawyers, but in the end have decided to hand the land back. It boggles the mind how something liks this takes place... It was tempting to think about how we might help with a loan (after all, it is only AU$9,000) but we figured it was wiser to stay clear. But oh so frustrating to see something like that take place...
