Our local sports club has a full-time doctor on staff during the summer months. Her role is to check every club member for tinea and headlice on a fortnightly basis. It's pretty boring work, but there are perks.
For a start she has a pleasant air-conditioned office.
Plus she gets to sit by the pool when not attending to a patient.
A few days back, our eldest daughter cut her toe on the irregular surface of the club pool. We were ready to take her home and pull out the bandaids when said doctor arrived to attend her.
As we dripped blood all over the floor of the doctor's room, I couldn't help but giggle at the bizarre image of the health professional, bending over in her tiny little doctor's coat to reveal a bit too much flesh.
It seems that wearing the white doctor's coat loses its authority when accompanied by only a tiny bikini!

I don't know whether the job would be coveted or avoided?? All that medical training to sit by a pool bored out of your brain. Or, all I have to do is sit by the pool...
