Yesterday was 'The day of the child' in Argentina. Just one more 'Day of ...' here. There is a day for everyone here. Today is day of the Nutritionist.
But the day of the child is big business here. In fact, many children receive gifts equivalent or bigger than birthday or Christmas presents. Some of the gifts our kids friends have received- Wiis, playstations, mobile phones, MP4 players...
Our kids were given a 3-pack DVD set- to share that is.
We don't really go in for what seems to me like just another attempt at commercialism.
I mean, especially in Argentina, where everything revolves around the child, which day isn't Dia del Niño?
